- NA PROJECT: Quality Assurance Testing for the Sacramento Resident Office LOCATION: American River, Alternate Methods Project, Sacramento, California JOB DESCRIPTION: QA testing contract to furnish labor, material and equipment necessary to provide quality assurance testing for the Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, Sacramento Resident Office, American River, Alternate Methods Project, DACW05-03-C -0005. These services shall be provided to the Corps on an as-requested basis as specified. In some cases the laboratory will be requested to visit the site to perform testing, and in other cases samples will be delivered to the laboratory. The laboratory shall follow the procedures provided in each the respective ASTM test methods listed in the Request for Quotation unless more specific information is provided in the contract specifications. It should be noted that the hydraulic conductivit y and compressive strength testing for the soil-cement-bentonite specimens requires extreme care, using persons experienced with this type of testing. Specific parameters (in addition to the ASTM requirements) for this testing are provided in the contract documents, which can be viewed by contacting Mr.John Sisley, Project Engineer, 916/929-4743. This procurement will be conducted under FSC code H999. SIC Code 8734. NAICS code 541380. The size standard s for these codes is 6 million dollars. TYPE OF AWARD: This Request for Quotation is a Small Business Set-aside and all qualified small businesses may respond. All quotes are due in not later than 12 August 2003. ORDERING SOLICITATION: The solicitation for this project will be available on the Sacramento District Contracting Divisions Internet Home page at http://ebs.spk/usace.army.mil for downloading. Any further amendments to the solicitation will also be avail able for download from this website. Requests for copies of this solicitation in any other format than what is advertised will be disregarded. It is important that you first go to this website an under contract division home page, click on the advertised solicitation you are interested in. Go to plan holders registration. This will require you to establish a user name and password. Keep the user name and password and share it with anyone else in your organization that is responsible for registering your firm on plan holders lists. With our new system you only have to do the full registration one time. If you have your user name and password, you can always go back into the system and register for other jobs without having to go through the entire regis tration process. However, you can only do this by using your initial user name and password. In order to receive notification of any amendments to the solicitation you are to register for the plan holders list. Please complete all requested information. The solicitation will be available on or about 30 August 2003 for download. From there click on Sacramento Sacramento/San Francisco District, then it will take you to list of advertised solicitations and then from there click on the desired solicitation number. And at the bottom of this page, there is bar that says download/view solicitation files. Select plans or specifications from the drop down box and press the go button. This will take you to the next page, then from there click on the file name and download.
