Small Business Set-Aside: Total Small Business
Description: The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Farmington Field Office, has a requirement for a machine mounted Hydro-Mower with operator. The project is located approximately 15 miles north east of Aztec, New Mexico. Access to the sites are over public roads, both paved and unimproved dirt. The contractor is to provide the hydro-mower, the operator, transportation, fuel, lubricants and incidentals. The contractor shall ensure that the operator is thoroughly familiar with the operation of the required equipment and the work to be completed. The work involves the cutting, thinning and shredding of Pinon Pine and Juniper Trees and some small patches of sagebrush. The equipment is operated over the area slow enough to identify the target speciies. Period of performance for this project is 60 days from date of award. The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns and will be awarded on a firm fixed-price basis. Small Business firms must certify that they are either a business located in the State of New Mexico or certify to hire the operator locally in New Mexico. This solicitation will be available on or about August 13, 2003. There will be a site visit on August 27, 2003 at 10:00AM. Bid responses will be due on September 10, 2003.
