- Description
- Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia is seeking potential sources for depot repair and testing of the U.S. Navy Landing Craft Air Cushion TF40B marine gas turbine engine. Candidates should be able to demonstrate capabilities related to repair and performance testing of the TF40B. This core engine experience will be considered because of the commonality of parts between the TF40B and the Honeywell T55 Series gas turbine engine. Following repair, candidates must demonstrate required engine performance recovery in an approved indoor engine test cell. Repair and testing will be IAW the Landing Craft Air Cushion Main Propulsion Engine Operations and Maintenance Manual Volumes I, II, & III (S9234-ES-MMA-010/020/03). Test cell data collection will be IAW the latest TF40B engine test specification (ETSTF40B). This is a request for information only and is no t a request for proposals or announcement of a solicitation.
