- NAVSEA Indian Head, Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head, Md. is intending to award a firm fixed price (FFP) purchase order for a Pulse Laser system with power supply. Special features include (Power: between 750-1000 Joule per pulse; Pulse width: 5 to 10 microseconds; Beam size: 4-6 mm (at aperture); Beam divergence: within 2 milli-radians; Wavelength: blue-green in the visible (tunable wavelength is strongly preferred); Single shot capability: with few microseconds trigger delay; Stability of trigger delay: within 5 ns; Pulse-width timing jitter: within 5ns. Laser to include the necessary power supply and both manual triggering and electronic pulse triggering capability. The specialized shipping required shall be included in the offeror?s price. In addition, installation of the laser and power supply at IHD, and at least a 3-year warranty is desired. This commercial acquisition will be 100% small business set-aside and accomplished in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13. The applicable North American Industrial classification System (NIACS) code is 334510. The FSC code is 5860. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package. The solicitation notices and any/all amendments will be posted and available for viewing and downloading on the Government Electronic Posting System (EPS) site at www.fedbizops.gov. No paper copies will be issued. When the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review the aforementioned site regularly for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. All prospective offers must have a Commercial and government Entity Code (CAGE Code) and be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov. In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the Agency. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a purchase order, it does not restrict the Government's ultimate approach, nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation costs. The solicitation notice will be posted on or about 1-Aug-2003 and estimated closing date of 25-August-2003. All solicitation responses must be received at Bldg. 1558, 101 Strauss Avenue Indian Head Maryland no later than 3:30 p.m. on closing date referenced in the solicitation. Copies of issued solicitations can only be obtained by downloading them from the IHDIV Contracts Division website at http://www.ih.navy.mil/contracts (copies of solicitations will not be e-mailed, faxed, mailed, or provided in person, these types o f requests WILL NOT BE ACKNOWLEDGED.) NOTE: All Offeror?s will be ineligible for award unless they have registered in DOD's CCR database.
