- Description
- NASA/MSFC intends to purchase a varity of special made o-rings and fittings on a sole source basis from EPCO Products Inc. EPCO's product meets the NFPA/T2.6.1 R1-1991 Standard which is essential for hardware interfacing with Flight Hardware.Therefore it is not cost effective to procure orings or fittings that are "similar" and would require testing to meet the MSFC standards. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing via fax to Janet Appleton at 256-544-6062 no later than 4:30 p.m. local time on 08/12/2003. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
