- This sources sought synopsis is for planning purposes only to identify prospective sources and is NOT to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or make an award. Any information submitted in response to this sources sought synopsis is strictly voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this sources sought. At this time, no solicitation exists. Business size is based on NAICS 561599 All Other Travel Arrangement and Reservation Services Size Standard $6.0 million. Potential requirement for Reservation Center requires a contracted staff of 18 reservationists to support its 24-hour operation anticipated in Chantilly, Virginia. (Projected need will begin January / February 2004 and continue on an annual basis) The following list of requirements will be mandatory. Skills and Experience: o This position has been designated as sensitive. Contractors must successfully complete a background investigation. The inquiry will cover your activities during at least the past seven years, and especially any arrests, convictions, dismissals from previous jobs, outstanding debts or financial issues, use of alcohol and illegal drugs, and the sale and distribution of illegal drugs. A history of problems in any of these areas may result in the contractor?s disqualification. o Minimum of five years of SABRE Reservation experience is preferred but an expertise in Apollo would suffice. o Minimum of three years experience working in a Corporate Travel Center or Airline Reservations Center. o Preferred experience with computers including Microsoft Office & Windows. o Must have good oral and written communication skills. o Must have excellent organizational and administrative skills. Work Environment: o All contracted Reservationist must adhere to the standard operating procedure of the facility. o Staffing is required to support the reservations office twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. o Weekends and holidays shift work will be mandatory. o Work environment is cyclic requiring periods of fast paced detail orientated work to slower periods were administrative duties may be assigned. o The staff must have the ability to quickly adapt to a rapidly changing environment. Responses to this sources sought notice must (1) state whether they are a small or large business; (2) indicate if a small disadvantaged or woman-owned business, 8(a) firm, or a historically black college or university or minority institution (HBCU/MI); (3) provide experience of previous projects for specific relevant work completed or currently being performed of equivalent magnitude including contract numbers, description of the work, points of contact, and phone numbers; professional qualifications and specific experience of personnel identified to perform the work; (4) estimated price; and (5) any other pertinent information which would enable the government to assess a firm's capabilities.
