- Description
- The Department of Homeland Security, U. S. Coast Guard, Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic (fcp-3), 300 East Main Street, Suite 965, Norfolk, VA 23510 intend to award a sole source contract to Northrop Grumman System Corporation (Sperry Marine) for the purchase of the Sperry marine SRD-500 upgrade kit. The unit required shall meet the following salient characteristic: a) Transducer must be dual axis type that speed measurements are provided in both the fore/aft and port/starboard axis. Transducer would need to fit into and be compatible with existing Sperry Marine SRD-421S gate valve allowing for transducer replacement from inside the vessel without dry-docking. b) Minimum other required outputs shall include distance traveled, depth below the transducer, water temperature, and water current profiling information. c) Units shall be compatible with an already existing SRD-421S microprocessor-controlled master display unit capable of displaying fore/aft and port/starboard speed, depth, distance, elapse time, and operating mode. Data output must be at a minimum selectable RS-232 or RS-422 output port to provide serial digital (NMEA or ASCII) formats and analog format, relay closure (pulse) outputs, and an analog vector-sum speed output.
