Description

This project consists of furnishing all equipment, supplies, tools, labor and supervision for brushing 18.55 miles of trail on the Seward Ranger District, Chugach National Forest. This work is located on the Johnson Pass and Carter Lake Trails located in the eastern half of the Kenai Peninsula. Johnson Pass Trail has two trailhead accesses, one located at Mile Post 64 and the other located at Mile Post 32.5 of the Seward Highway. There is 16.05 miles of brushing on the Johnson Pass Trail. The brushing work starts at mile 1.25 from the south end of the Johnson Pass Trail and ends at mile 7.2 from the north end trailhead. Included in 1.5 miles of the Iditarod/winter trail route starting at Mile 7.9 from the south end and ending at the Alaska Railroad Track. Carter Lake Trailhead is located at Mile Post 33 of the Seward Highway. The Carter Lake trail brushing starts at the trailhead and ends at mile 2.5 of the Carter Lake trail. All responsible sources may submit a bid that will be considered. Award of this project to be accomplished under Full and Open Competition, pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The solicitation and drawings will be available for downloading at http://www.fedbizops.gov on the solicitation issue date. It will be the responsibility of the bidder to check Fedbizopps for any amendments to the solicitation or this announcement.
