- Description
- The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Center for Cancer Research (CCR), Experimental Transplantation and Immunology Branch (ETIB) intends to procure on a sole-source basis with NPE Systems Inc, 1 SW 129th Avenue, Suite 207, Pembroke Pines, FL 33027 for the purchase of a NPE Quanta Analyzer. The NPE Quanta uses a mercury arc lamp light source, providing for a variety of light wavelengths available, including UV, violet, blue, green, and yellow. These include CFP-YFP fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) analysis (which uses the combination of violet and blue wavelengths), and analysis of fluorochromes such as Texas Red in combination with the APC tandems probes (which require yellow excitation). The NPE Quanta uses a Coulter transducer flow cell for both cell sizing and fluorescent analysis, which allows cell size measurements to be carried out down to 0.1 micron resolution. The Coulter transducer flow cell on the NPE Quanta has superior flow stability characteristics; allowing cells move with great lateral precision through this instrument. The NPE Quanta Analyzer is the only instrument in commercial production known to the researcher that can do both sizing and fluorescence detection simultaneously. This is not a solicitation for competitive quotations. However, if any interested party believes it can meet all of the above requirements, they may a statement of capabilities.
