Description
Houston Air Route Traffic Control Center Basement and Second Floor Fire Suppression, Houston, Texas The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking competent and qualified Small Business construction contractors interested in providing offers for the demolition of the halon system in the south end basement and second floor office area, installation of automatic on/off sprinkler systems in the north basement, south basement and second floor office area, installation of wet pipe sprinkler system in the west basement and alternate bid item Firecycle II to Firecycle III conversions (provide separate price for conversion work). NICET certification: The sprinkler system design and calculations shall be prepared by a NICET (National Institute for Certification of Engineering Technologies) Level IV Technician, or a Licensed Professional Engineer. Note: Some areas in the basement may require that work be completed between the hours of 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM. This procurement is set-aside for Small Business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 325998. The small business size standard is 500 employees. The estimated price range of this project is $250,000 and $500,000. Contract performance time is 120 calendar days. The contractor is expected to perform at least 20% of the work using its own employees. There will be no formal pre-bid meeting, but a site visit before formulating offers is strongly advised. The Request for Offer Package (RFO) is expected to be available to small business contractors on 30 July 2003. Contractors must submit their request for this package no later than noon July 28, 2003. RFO packages will be provided only to the first 10 requestors. Contractors must provide name of company, physical mailing address, telephone number and FAX number. Fax your requests to 817 222-5994.
