- Description
- Eglin AFB has a requirement to replace electrical service and switchgear in a photo lab on Eglin AFB, FL. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238210 and the size standard is $12.0 million. This solicitation will be issued as a competitive HUBZone set-aside. This is a performance price tradeoff acquisition and award will be based upon the best value to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award the contract to other than the lowest proposed price. All responsible Hubzone Certified sources may submit an offer that shall be considered by the agency. Contractor shall provide removal and outdoor substation, existing service entranced C bus for 208 volt system and underground cable for the 480 volt switchgear. New equipment and wiring will be provided and installed to replace the removed items consisting of two new pad mounted transformers, new 1600 amp bus duct for the 208 bolt system, new conduit and cable for the 480 volt system, new 208 volt switchgear, and new 480 volt motor control center. The estimated dollar amount is between $100,000 and $500,000. Performance Period is estimated to be 180 calendar days. Funds are not currently available for this project. No award will be made until funds are available to make payments under this contract. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after closing date, with no obligation to the offeror by the Government. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on the Federal Government?s Electronic Posting System (www.eps.gov) on or about 7 August 2003. The estimated due date will be addressed in the RFP. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed through the Federal Business Opportunities web site (www.fedbizopps.gov/). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
