53269 SOLE SOURCE: Pratt & Whitney NOUN: Divergent Nozzle Segment NSN: 2840-01-308-4465 NZ P/N: 40711422 APPLICABLE TO: F100PW229 ENGINE QTY: Min 42 ea; Med-84 ea; Max 126 ea. SIZE & DIMENSIONS: APPROX: 21 inches X 4.75 inches PREDOMINATE MATERIAL: Nickel Base Alloy ES J Thompson 884-8717 FORM/FIT/FUNCTION: The divergent nozzle segment is a component part of the Augmenter nozzle assembly. The divergent segment works in unison with the convergence nozzle segment to control the nozzle throat size and exit area. DELIVERY: FB2039 REQUIRED DELIVERY DATE: February 28, 2004. ANTICIPATED AWARD DATE: 15Sept03. No telephone solicitation requests will be accepted. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved sources. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible Source Approval for future awards. Government-furnished drawings are not available. It is not anticipated that a paper solicitation will be issued. Reference AFMCFARs 5309.206-1(e)(1), the following notes apply to the procurement: Note A, Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. Note D, the requirements of FAR 9.202(a) have been completed and copies of the qualification requirements and standards maybe obtained as described in the solicitation. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program manager or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor Concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict Confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
