- Description
- Contractor will be required to develop and perform a structural evaluation on a Government owned and operated Cessna U206 aircraft on amphibious floats. This shall include non-destructive testing and the services of a Designated Engineering Representative (DER). The evaluation is needed to assure airworthiness of the aircraft as it has been operated over the certified gross operating weight, including low level flight environment. The aircraft has been operated at up to 4,200 pounds gross weight and has also undergone the installation of numerous and intermixed Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) modifications on both airframe and engine. The contractor will be required to develop a continued airworthiness program that will establish special inspection criteria and procedures to assure the continued safe operation of the aircraft. The anticipated issue date of the solicitation is approximately July 25, 2003. The solicitation will be available at this site and as well as www.oas.gov/dam.
