Description

This project proposes to repair the timber fenders at Bravo Piers 3, 10, 11 and 12, and Bravo Wharf 13. The existing deteriorated timber fendering system will be replaced with concrete pile "clusters" located at 50-100 foot intervals. The project scope includes the installation of pile "clusters" consisting of 4 concrete piles spaced approximately 2 feet apart, foam-filled fender anchor plates, backing plates, and concrete spall repairs. The new concrete piles will serve as bearing points for the 10' x 18' floating foam filled fenders that provide a cushion between the docked vessel and the berth. The work also includes demolition and removal of existing timer fender piles and includes hazardous abatement work due to removal of lead-containing paint. This project has a Base Item 0001 with two option items (0002 and 0003).
