Description

The Government hereby wishes to purchase the Correcting of Surface Drainage of the airfield in the area designated “AREA 1”. This project consists of alleviating the standing water and providing positive drainage in the designated area. The area in which the contractor will be responsible for performing the work is approximately 682,440 square yards, or 141 acres. North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code 238910 applies to this solicitation. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Anticipated issue date is May 13, 2003. Anticipated bid opening is June 12, 2003 at 1400 hrs. The bid opening will be held at the 2nd Contracting Squadron, 841 Fairchild Ave Ste 205, Barksdale AFB, LA 71110-2271. Performance time is 270 calendar days. This solicitation is a 100% set-aside for Section 8(a) contractors, headquartered in the New Orleans, LA Small Business District. Offerors must identify themselves as being under Section 8(a). You will not be eligible to receive an award if you are not in the Central Contractor Registration database. (Reference: DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration). Bids may be mailed or hand delivered to the address above, bids submitted by facsimile shall not be accepted. The Pre-bid site visit has been postponed until the release of the formal solicitation.
