Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into fully competitive negotiations with qualified sources of supply. The NAWCADLKE intends to procure four (4) Servicing Unit, P/N 1317AS100-1, to be used on the V-22 aircraft. The Nitrogen Servicing Unit (NAN-4) provides a mobile source of compressed nitrogen to recharge aircraft nitrogen systems and tires. Nitrogen under pressure is transferred from the servicing unit to the aircraft through a series of gauges, valves, filters and hoses located on the control panel of the unit. The desired output pressure is controlled by a pressure regulator and is indicated on the high or low pressure gauge depending on supply pressure. The servicing unit is equipped with a booster pump that is capable of boosting nitrogen supply pressure to a maximum of 3500 PSI. The pump is driven by a gaseous motor that is actuated by an external air source or by nitrogen contained in the cylinders mounted on the unit. The contractor shall supply all labor, equipment and consumable supplies to manufacture in its entirety. The Government does not own data rights or technical drawings. The Government is anticipating a Firm Fixed Price type contract. Inspection and acceptance shall occur at source. All finished Servicing Units are to be shipped FOB destination by 03 SEPT 2003. In addition, the packing/packaging will be best commercial practice. A Request for Quote (RFQ) will be faxed upon request. However all requests must be received within 15 days. Responses should reference N68335-03-T-0022. The RFQ will NOT appear on NAVAIR homepage. N68335-03-T-0022 will be issued on or about 30 August 2003. The point of contact is Joanne Southworth at (732) 323-2756. E-Mail: Joanne.Southworth@navy.mil All contractors seeking award must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Contracts cannot be awarded to contractors unless they are registered. For CCR information contact the CCR Registration Assistance Center (RAC), at: 888-227-2423, or contact the CCR Program Office by e-mail at: contact.ccr@us.pwcglobal.com
