- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA, intends to procure Sound Deadening Board meeting the following specifications: Sound Deadening board, Insulating board (cellulosic fiber) 4 ft x 12 ft x 0.5 inches thick in accordance with ASTMC 208-72 (re-approved 1982) and D2277-87 (approved 2-27-87). Both faces uncoated, edges square cut. Sound deadening board must be composed of wood fiber cellulose products, not sugar cane cellulose products. To be delivered stacked and banded very tightly with 6 each, high tensile steel bands 1 1/8 inch x 0.031 inch, in bundles of 96 sheets each (240 bundles x 96 sheets = 2340 sheets), on side loaded flatbeds. No dunnage between strapping and sound deadening boards. MSDS and specification information required. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Sub-part 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and award shall be made in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5 Simplified Acquisition. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. A formal written solicitation request for quotation (RFQ) will not be issued. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation document and its incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 01-10. All offerors shall submit proposals in writing to Commander, Attn: Jackie Harrison, Code 220000D, Bldg 000982, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA 93555-6100 by 1400 local time 13 August 2003. The NAICS Code is 131219 and the Size Standard is 500 employees for this procurement. The purchase order has a DPAS rating of C9. The resulting purchase order will be a Firm-Fixed Price type contract for 240 bundles CLIN 0001: Sound Deadening Board. Packaging and marking shall be in accordance with commercial standards. Inspection and Acceptance shall be at Source. Delivery shall be FOB Destination in accordance with FAR Clause 52.247-34. Place of Delivery shall be the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA 93555-6100. Time of Delivery shall be in accordance with 52.211-8 and is suggested to be within 3 weeks after the effective date of contract award.
