- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to issue an unrestricted solicitation for a firm fixed price contract for the acquisition of Material Services and Food Services to be performed at the Tidewater and North Carolina Area Medical Treatment Facilities (MTF). The four MTF facilities are the Naval Medical Center (NMC) Portsmouth, VA; the Navy Environmental Health Center (NEHC) Portsmouth, VA; the Naval Hospital (NH) Camp Lejeune, NC; and the Naval Hospital (NH) Cherry Point, NC. The period of performance is 1 October 2004 through 30 September 2005 with four one-year option periods. This solicitation is part of a Government cost comparison to determine whether accomplishing the specified work under contract or by Government performance is more economical. If Government performance is determined to be more economical, this solicitation will be cancelled and no contract will be awarded. Offerors are required to submit their proposal in two separate parts: Volume I ? Technical Proposal and Volume II ? Price/Cost Proposal. The applicable NAICS code is 561110. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia. The RFP will be made available electronically, upon its release, which is anticipated on or about 15 September 2003 at http://www.neco.navy.mil. All contractors must be registered (http:/www.ccr.gov) in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR).
