Description

The U.S. Geologcial Survey intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Landmark Graphics Corp, 2101 City West Blvd, Bldg 1, Suite 200, Houston, TX 77042-2827. The proposed contract is for RO3 Seisworks 2D perpetual license and Time Depth Quick perpetual license. The Landmark Seisworks, Openworks, and related software packages are proprietary products of Landmark Graphics Corporation of Houston, Texas. This package has been adopted throughout the Coastal and Marine Program, including the teams in Menlo Park, Woods Hole (MA), St. Petersberg (FL), and Santa Cruz, (CA), as well as the Central Energy Team in Denver (CO), for their seismic interpretation requirements. Consistency and compatibility within the team, and with those other teams, is required in the pursuit of cooperative projects and data exchange. The Landmark Seisworks product is also closely integrated with the Landmark ProMax processing package, which is used in Menlo Park for seismic reflection processing. Landmark Graphics is the sole source for sales and support of the Seisworks product. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Information will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Determination to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government; no additional synopsis will be published.
