Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepare= d in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Request for Quotes (RFQ) are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation documents incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect throught Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-15. This Procurement is set aside 100% for small business. The NAICS is 333912 with business size standard 500 employees. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. The South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS), Audie L. Murphy Division, 7400 Merton Minter Blvd., San Antonio, TX 78229 has a requirement to purchase one (1) Multiplex skid-mounted prefabricated medical compressed air system that conforms to the following; provides medical breathing air for hospitals; medical institutions and meet the current edition of NFPA 99 requirements for level 1 breathing air.=20 System requirements are as follows: System shall be duplex, expandable to triplex or triplex oil-less reciprocating or scroll compressor.=20 Maximum pressure capability is 145 PSI. System capacity is 110+ SCFM @ 50 PSIG (DUPLEX)/170+SCFM @ 50 PSIG (TRIPLEX), 15 horsepower each compressor and 480V/3-PH/60HZ. A corrosion-resistant receiver tank, ASME, 200 PSIG working pressure, national board registered vertical air receiver sized at 200 gallons minimum. Receiver with a sight gauge, 3-valve bypass, safety relief valve, pressure gauge, moisture drain with manual and automatic valves. Factory-pipe dryer/aftercooler system properly sized for peak demand and capable of producing 15 degree F. or less pressure dew point. All of the above shall be factory=96piped and wired in accordance with NFPA 99 and include valving to bypass and air sampling port. The system shall incorporate a dew point hygrometer and a carbon monoxide monitor. Alarms must be set per NFPA 99 and high co and high dew conditions shall be indicated with visual and audible alarms. The control system must be NEMA 12 and UL labeled. Control system must provide automatic lead/lag sequencing, with disconnects for each motor, with external operators. Primary voltage shall be protected by circuit breaker or fuses and any control power by secondary fusing or circuit breakers. A remote alarm is required for isolated contact. Medical compressed air package system must be able to operate continuously in 105 degree F. ambient air temperature. Manufacturers warranty shall be a minimum of 24 months from start up date. A training and start-up session is required by a manufacturer=92s trained or authorized representative and addressed as separate line item in the quotation. Quotations shall include all warranty information, technical data, specifications and shop drawings. Quotations shall be submitted F.O.B. destination. All quotations are to include a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, Offer Representations and Certifications- commercial Items, with quotation, (a copy of this provision may be requested by facsimile to (210) 617-5255, Attention: Lisa Torrez).
