Description

The USDA, Agriculture Marketing Service (AMS), Science and Technology, 801 Summit Crossing Place, Gastonia, NC, intends to procure janitorial services for the period October 1, 2003 through September 30, 2004, with one option year. Submit faxed quotations to "Purchasing Section," at (612) 370-2136, Attention Joanne Mann. Firm fixed price. NAICS 561720 QUOTATIONS ARE DUE AUGUST 14, 2003, BY 10:00 a.m. local time. Simplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition regulations per FAR 12. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses which are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-15. Applicable FAR clauses are incorporated by reference: Prompt Payment 52.249-1 (4/84); Instructions to Offerors -Commercial Items 52.212-1; Evaluation-Commercial items 52.212-2 (10/97); Offeror Representations and Certifications 52.212-3 (10/98); Contract Terms and Conditions- Commercial Items 52.212-4 (05/01); Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items 52.212-5 (10/98). The above clauses may be viewed on the web site: www.arnet.gov/far. ALL RESPONSIBLE SOURCES MAY SUBMIT A QUOTATION FOR CONSIDERATION. All offers must be signed. Base year: $ _________cost per month and one (1) option year: $ __________ cost per month. Quote shall include monthly cost, carpet cleaning and tile area stripping and waxing as one price. SPECIFICATIONS: General cleaning shall consist of: sweeping, wiping down tables, sinks and countertops, empty trash cans, mopping floors, cleaning rest rooms and vacuuming carpets, FIVE DAYS PER WEEK, as per the statement of work, for approximately 35,000 square feet. A copy of the statement of work is available upon request. The facility consists of three separate Government agencies: AMS S&T National Science Laboratory with approximately 23,652 sq ft of office and laboratory space; AMS Poultry Program with approximately 1,758 sq ft of office space; and AMS Livestock and Seed Program with approximately 10,000 sq ft of office and laboratory space. Bidders must submit one quote which includes all three areas for the estimated 35,000 sq ft. SUPPLIES: The Government will furnish paper towels, hand soap, toilet paper, tissues, wastebasket liners, air fresheners and disinfectant spray. The Contractor shall provide all other supplies, personnel, supervision and equipment required to perform services. SECURITY: The successful bidder must provide the Government with fingerprint and background checks of all employees. All employees will be required to wear an identification badge while on the Government premises. The Award will be based on lowest price technically acceptable to the Government.
