- NA The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 812332, SIC is 7218, and the Small Business Size Standard is $12 million. The original solicitation was issued on an unrestricted basis. This Amendment is issued to change the requirement to a 100 percent Small Business Set-Aside. This requirement is for Medical/Dental and Organizational Laundry Services for Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) and Dilorenzo Tri-care Health Clinic (Pentagon Building), Washington, DC, and Kimbrough Ambul atory Care Center, Fort Meade, MD, and other Tenant, and Satellite Activities. The period of performance is 01 October 2003 through 30 September 2004 with four one-year option periods. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, transportation , supplies, vehicles, and facility, except items specified as government-furnished, necessary to assure that all operations and services are conducted in accordance with the contract. The services include pick-up soiled/contaminated linen and deliver clea n linen for approximately 1.9 million pounds (WRAMC), 30,000 pounds (Dilorenzo), and 120,000 pounds (Kimbrough) of government-owned linen per year. The average is 3000-7500 (WRAMC), 2,500 pounds (Dilorenzo), and 10,000 (Kimbrough) of linen each day. Pic k-up and delivery shall be made daily, 365 days a year, except as otherwise stated. Services include processing articles received through the following tasks: wash/dry, presswork, and folding. Types of items to launder include Laundry Bags, Blankets, Phy sician Coats, Cubicle Curtains, Patient Gowns, Mop Heads, Bed Pads, Table Cloths, Bed Sheet, Towels, etc. Contractor must maintain a system of records as to work performed sufficient to answer all reasonable issues with regard to the linen supply and work performed. Contractor must accomplish all work in accordance with the Joint Commission on Accreditations of Hospital Manual, all regulations cited in the contract, and industry standards. Contractor shall have a minimum of 24 months within the previous 36 months experience in providing Hospital Laundry Cleaning Services. These services have been provided under a Government-Owned Contractor-Operated (GOCO) contract for over ten years. On 01 October 2003, the Government will no longer provide a Governmen t-owned facility. This is considered a new requirement; therefore, there is no incumbent contractor.
