Description
This Amendment M001 to DG1350-03-RF-0091(GJH)is to correct/change the announcement title for Regional Commercial Information Provider-SAMARA, Russia with the Announcement of Opening for a Contractor: Regional Commercial Information Provider—Khabarovsk, Russia and and replace with the announcement as follows: BISNIS US Department of Commerce Announcement of Opening for a Contractor: Regional Commercial Information Provider—Khabarovsk, Russia BISNIS is the U.S. Government's primary information resource center for U.S. companies exploring business opportunities in Russia and other Eurasian countries, and for Russian/Eurasian companies seeking U.S. business partners. A primary goal of BISNIS is to bring buyers and sellers together to facilitate successful business transactions. BISNIS has resulted in more than $3.3billion worth of U.S. exports and U.S.-Eurasia business collaboration since opening in 1992. BISNIS products and services include a number of lead opportunity programs, direct business counseling, and a range of country- and industry-focused market information made available to U.S. and Eurasian client companies by mail, email, and via the BISNIS web sites, www.bisnis.doc.gov and www.bisnis-eurasia.org. BISNIS representatives (regional commercial information providers) in Eurasia and trade specialists in the United States (Washington, D.C.) identify, analyze, report, and counsel firms on market leads, developments, opportunities, strategies, and resources in order to foster U.S.-Eurasian business development (U.S. exports and U.S.-Eurasian business activities in Eurasia). Eurasia representatives are the primary BISNIS contact with local organizations. BISNIS has been providing related services for several years from Khabarovsk for select Russian Far East regions (Khabarovsk, Amur, Chita, Jewish Autonomous region, Yakutia) and intends to continue during FY2004. The contractor will be responsible for providing BISNIS each month with US export and partner leads as well as useful market updates and reports for the above regions. The representative will also contribute to BISNIS Eurasia services (Russian-language website and newsletter), provide market counseling and related client support, cultivate ties and work with the local business community to increase local familiarity with and fruitful use of BISNIS services, and will follow up and report on the results of all BISNIS-related activities. Qualifications include: Proven fluency in spoken and written Russian and English, strong understanding of dynamics and success factors for U.S exports and business collaboration in Russia, ability to identify promising leads and prepare useful market reports, widespread contacts in target regions, and knowledge of U.S. government programs and related resources. The position requires a results-oriented candidate with strong individual initiative and the ability to work independently and communicate actively and effectively with colleagues and contacts. The winning candidate will be required to work at an office with email and Internet access meeting BISNIS requirements.
