- Title: ECG-RAPPI computer workstations PURPOSE OF ANNOUNCEMENT: In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration Acquisition Management System (FAAAMS), paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. The FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center intends to enter into a single source contract with LKA Computer Consultants, Inc. for the acquisition to purchase computer workstations to host the Enroute Communications Gateway (ECG) Remote Access Plan Position Indicator (RAPPI) software. The subject workstations are configured as follows: Pentium 4 PC's with a 2.4 Mhz CPU, 512 Mb DDR memory, 300 watt power supply, 56X CD-ROM drive, 40 Gb 7200 RPM hard drive, high speed cooling fan, FAA Approved slim ultra-quiet keyboard, mouse, two, two-port NIC cards, Windows 2000 OS, and options of 17" and 18.1" LCD monitors with a maximum resolution of 1280x1024 The above workstations must meet the requirements of the FAA-G-2100G power specification to be connected to critical power in operational air traffic facilities. LKA Computer Consultants, Inc. is the only vendor that has PC hardware compliant with the power requirements. A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement. If your firm has a product or products, that meets or exceeds the requirements stated above, please respond to the Contracting Officer, Jeanine Passetti via e-mail by 4 p.m., Eastern Time, August 10, 2003. All responses must clearly describe the capabilities of the proposed product(s) and provide copies of official power test results indicating the exact combination(s) of equipment that passes the version of the power specification listed. Responses that do not provide this specific information will not be considered.
