Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) intends to negotiate a noncompetitive three-year indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity type contract with Northwest Marine Technology, Inc. (NMT), Shaw Island, WA, for binary and decimal coded wire tags, injection, and detection equipment for use in a system developed by NMT. The thin wire micro-coded tags with a binary number are applied by insertion into the snout of fingerlings and used to monitor growth without loss of life to the fish. Each group of tags is made for a specific agency containing a unique batch or individual code and protected by several U.S. patents. NMT is the only known authorized manufacturer and distributor for this item. Responses to this notice must be received in writing by September 22, 2003. If no response is received award will be made to NMT.
