- JANITORIAL SERVICE FOR BUECHEL AIRSTATION SHALL BE PERFORMED AS SPECIFIED IN THE BELOW LISTED STATEMENT OF NEED FOR PERIOD 01 OCT 2003 - 30 SEP 2004 PLUS 2 OPTION YEARS. *************** NON-PERSONAL SERVICES CONTRACTS ARE NOT APPOINTMENTS TO POSITIONS IN THE COMPETITIVE SERVICES AND THE CONTRACTOR DOES NOT HAVE THE STATUS OF AN AIR FORCE EMPLOYEE. THE INDIVIDUAL HAS THE STATUS OF AN INDEPENDANT CONTRACTOR. AN EMPLOYEE RELATIONSHIP DOES NOT EXIST. ************** THIS SOLICITATION IS INTENDED ONLY FOR LOCAL SOURCES IN ACCORDANCE WITH FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION 5.202 (a)(12). LOCAL SOURCES ARE THOSE SOURCES NORMALLY RESIDENT, LICENSED AND REGISTERED TO CONDUCT BUSINESS IN GERMANY. OFFERS FROM NON-LOCAL SOURCES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED UNDER THIS SOLICITATION. ************** Buechel Community Activity Center And Unit Activity Center Janitorial Statement of Need · Contractor must be able to read, write, and speak English · Children shall not accompany contractor/contract employees to work place · Contractor will be responsible for safeguarding all US Government property provided for contractor use. At the end of the work period should secure all equipment and facilities · Contractor will ensure keys issued to them are not lost, copied, or used by unauthorized persons · All lost and found property will be turned into the facility manager · The contractor shall display approved warning signs in all area where cleaning operations may cause traffic obstructions and/or safety hazards · Contractor will provide all cleaning agents required providing the following service i.e. (Bleach, pine cleaner, window cleaner, furniture polish, etc.) · Contractor will provide toilet paper EST use is 20 per week and paper towels EST use is 15 packs of 100 per week for the following services · The Government will provide garbage bags, brooms, mops, mop buckets, a carpet cleaner, and rags for use for the following services Contract Services I. Downstairs men’s and women’s bathrooms/locker rooms a. Clean and disinfect daily i. Toilets ii. Showers iii. Sinks iv. Mirrors v. Tiles vi. Floors; sweep and wet mop b. Ensure there is hand soap, paper towels, and toilet paper available daily c. Empty garbage cans daily and replace can liners d. Empty ash trays if applicable e. Dust lockers, heaters, and light fixtures weekly II. Stairwell to basement and floors between fitness room and bathrooms/locker rooms a. Sweep and wet mop daily b. Wipe down railing weekly III. Main hallway a. Sweep and wet mop from the front outside door to pool table door daily b. Clean all door windows and doors daily c. Dust window ledges and display cases weekly IV. Ball Room/Recreational lounge area a. Vacuum carpet daily b. Sweep and wet mop dance floor and floor in front of bar daily c. Shampoo carpet quarterly d. Empty garbage cans and recycling bins daily and replace can liner e. Clean all door windows and doors daily f. Dust window ledges weekly V. Cashiers cage hallway and offices a. Vacuum carpet daily and spot clean as required b. Shampoo carpet quarterly c. Empty garbage cans and paper recycling bins daily and replace can liner VI. Bathroom near cashiers cage a. Clean and disinfect daily i. Toilets ii. Showers iii. Sinks iv. Mirrors v. Tiles vi. Floors; sweep and wet mop b. Ensure there is hand soap, paper towels, and toilet paper available daily c. Empty garbage cans daily and replace can liners d. Empty ash trays if applicable e. Dust heaters and light fixtures weekly VII. Shoppette hallway a. Sweep and wet mop floors daily b. Clean all door windows and doors daily VIII. Men’s, women’s, handicapped, and employee bathrooms a. Clean and disinfect daily i. Toilets ii. Showers (employee bathroom) iii. Sinks iv. Mirrors v. Tiles vi. Floors; sweep and wet mop b. Ensure there is hand soap, paper towels, and toilet paper available daily c. Empty garbage cans and paper recycling bins daily and replace can liners d. Empty ash trays if applicable e. Dust heaters and light fixtures weekly IX. Hallway between kitchen and store room a. Sweep and wet mop daily b. Clean all door windows and doors daily X. Recreation lounge managers office a. Vacuum carpet daily b. Shampoo carpet quarterly c. Empty garbage cans and paper recycling bins daily XI. Storeroom a. Vacuum carpet daily b. Shampoo carpet quarterly XII. Fitness Room a. Sweep and wet mop floors daily b. Dust window ledges weekly c. Empty garbage cans daily XIII. Family activity room a. Sweep and wet mop floor daily b. Dust window ledges weekly c. Empty garbage cans daily XIV. Unit activity center, Bldg 354A a. Clean men’s and women’s bathrooms i. Clean and disinfect daily 1. Toilets 2. Showers 3. Sinks 4. Mirrors 5. Tiles 6. Floors; sweep and wet mop ii. Ensure there is hand soap, paper towels, and toilet paper available daily b. Sweep and wet mop daily c. Empty garbage cans and paper recycling bins daily and replace can liners d. Dust window ledges weekly e. Wipe down sinks and counter tops f. Vacuum carpet daily g. Shampoo carpet quarterly h. Dust heaters and light fixtures weekly · Service mentioned above needs to be accomplished prior to 1300 hours · The contractor must use separate rags, mops, and brooms to clean bathrooms · Estimated time to accomplish service is 4-5 hours approximately 280 days a year · The facility is closed on all American holidays and base down days; therefore, janitorial services are not required on those days.
