- Description
- REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS AD004 Design And Graphic Arts Services For National Transit Institute Agency: National Transit Institute Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey University Procurement & Contracting Administrative Services Bldg. III 3 Rutgers Plaza New Brunswick, NJ 08901-8559 ATTN: Cindy Johnson, Buyer Phone: (732) 932-4375, ext. 2309 Fax: (732) 932-4390 E-Mail: cindyj@rci.rutgers.edu Date for receipt of proposals: Wednesday, October 15, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. The National Transit Institute is accepting proposals from public relations/graphic arts firms that have the capacity to take a publication idea from draft form through production. The firm should be able to provide the following services: account/design coordination, through a single contact person; creative input (theme, marketing approaches, communications strategies); design, coordination and supervision of photo shoots and artwork creation; typesetting from copy; copy editing; proofreading; preparation of design for production; and purchase and supervision of printing and mailing. In addition, experience with copy writing, development and production of training videos, CD-Rom, and DVDs would be an asset. The National Transit Institute (NTI) is seeking a firm that has the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, provide fast turnaround, and produce projects on schedule and within budget. The firm must be willing to provide an individual who will serve as the representative for all projects and who will work with multiple project managers at NTI. NTI requires a firm that will consistently provide high quality design and is willing to work with an established graphic identity, maintaining and enhancing it across projects, so that individual pieces have both identity and coherence. Experience in providing promotional/marketing pieces is required but because many of the projects are heavily text-driven, evidence of excellence in type-based design is a must. Familiarity with a university environment and experience in producing pieces for this type of audience is an asset. The subcontract is two (2) years with a two (2) year option exercised solely at the discretion of Rutgers University. To obtain a copy of the complete RFP, send a written request on organization letterhead to the University Procurement & Contracting address above. Fax or e-mail requests will be accepted; telephone requests are unacceptable. RFP?s will not be faxed. Requests received by September 12, 2003 will be honored. RFPs will be mailed out shortly thereafter. Proposers submitting and signing the proposal documents must be the original requesters of the proposal package. Rutgers University is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to provide opportunities to small businesses, minority-owned businesses and/or female-owned businesses. These businesses are encouraged to submit proposals.
