Description
The Regional Contracting Department, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii intends to award an unrestricted contract. Solicitation N00604-03-T-B142. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the acquisition of commercial supplies prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this announcement. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; WRITTEN PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUIRED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION will not be issued. Proposals must include a completed Representations and Certifications FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications ? Commercial Items and DFARS 252.212-7000 Offeror Representation and Certifications ? Commercial Items AND FAR Clause 52.223-3 Hazardous Material Identification and Material Safety Data (Jan 1997) and DFAR 252.223-7001 Hazard Warning Labels (dec 1991) should also be submitted with quotation. All prospective quoters are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of amendments (if any) or other information pertaining to this solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a quotation in response to this synopsis, which shall be considered. This synopsis/solicitation is being issued as a Request For Quotations (RFQ), for a Firm Fixed Price type contract incorporating provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisitions Circular 2001-15 and DFARS Change Notice 20030722. The resulting award is intended to be a firm fixed price contract for the following: ITEM CLIN 0001, Sulfuric Acid, Formula: H2S04; Grade Technical. Physical State; liquid. Molecular Weight; 98.08 solute. Acceptable range of color; Colorless to Cloudy. Composition; 80 to 100%. Specific Gravity; 1.8437 (60 degrees F/60 degrees F). Manufacturer; Chevron, General Ch emical, and J.R. Simplot. Each shipment shall include the Certificate of Analysis also known as a Lab Report, which states the applicable Batch Number. Sulfuric acid shall be used to treat and remove impurities from water to create de-mineralized water for use in various steam systems. CLIN 0001AA: 7,320 Gallons (total estimate for period of performance commencing 01 September 2003 through 31 August 2004) , Delivered to Building 149 Power Plant No. 2, Sulfuric Acid shall be pumped into Government0owned 7,000 gallon take located in the Controlled Industrial Area (CIA) of the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard (PHNSY). CLIN 0001AB: 600 Gallons (total estimate for period of performance commencing 01 September 2003 through 31 August 2004), delivered to Building 1424, Sulfuric Acid shall be delivered by tank truck and be pumped into a government owned 2,000 gallon tank located in the P HNSY. Contractor to provide a quotation matching the above requirement for option years: CLIN 1001, 1001AA and AB (period of performance 01 September 2004 ? 31 August 2005), CLIN 2001, 2001AA and AB (period of performance 01 September 2005 ? 31 August 2006), CLIN 3001, 3001AA and AB (period of performance 01 September 2006 ? 31 August 2007), CLIN 4001, 4001AA and AB (period of performance 01 September 2007 ? 31 August 2008) . All quantities and information the same. As a result, the government includes FAR clause 52.217-9 Option to Extend the Term of the Contract. Contractor to quote delivery FOB: Destination, Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Offeror to submit with quote current MSDS information. The FSC code is 6810. The NAICS code and the small business size standard for this procurement is 211112 and 1000 employees respectively. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database (CCR) to be eligible for Department of Defense Contract awards. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror/quoter INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. Please ensure compliance with this regulation when submitting your quote.
