- This is a modification to the synopsis entitled "SPACE-QUALIFIED UHF COMMUNICATION SUBSYSTEM FOR THE MARS ARES ATMOSPHERIC FLIGHT SYSTEM," posted July 15, 2003. You are notified that the following changes are made: Request for Offer (RFO) No. 1-206-UHF is hereby cancelled. The NASA Office of Space Science for the Mars Scout Program under Announcement of Opportunity (AO) 02-OSS02 has selected the Phoenix Program as the first Mars Scout Mission for Launch in 2007. Therefore, RFO No. 1-206-UHF for a space-qualified UHF Communication Subsystem to support the Aerial Regional-scale Environmental Survey (ARES) Program is hereby cancelled and will not be issued by the Government.
