- NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are b eing requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. DAHA22-03-T-0059 applies and is issued as a Request for Quotation. This document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circul ar 2001-14. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336413 size standard is 1000 employees. The following items are intended to be purchased for the Government: Item # 1. Supply four each Energy Absorbing Crew Chief Seat for a CH-47D helicopter to AASF # 3, 1553 65th Avenue, Meridian, MS 39304. The standard seats only have a lap belt for restraint and are not positioned to allow the flight engineer to perform his duties o f clearing the aircraft while strapped in. The seats need to be energy-absorbing (crashworthy) with at least a four point restraining system to prevent injury in the event of a crash. They need to be mountable in a position to allow the flight crewmember to see out of the door/window while strapped in to help clear the aircraft and avoid traffic. The seat needs to be constructed of strong rugged but light weight materials so as not to add too much weight to the aircraft but stand up to heavy use in a fiel d environment. The seat needs to be able to fold up out of the doorway, if mounted in the doorway, to allow clear exit through the door. If mounted to the forward bulkhead the seat has to have provisions to allow access to the avionics compartment or hea ter compartment depending on which side of the forward bulkhead it is mounted to. Item # 2. Installation of three Energy Absorbing Crew Chief Seats at AASF # 3, 1553 65th Avenue, Meridian, MS 39304 to include all labor, materials and equipment required.
