- This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format listed in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F14614-03-Q0034. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This acquisition is reserved for small businesses. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 423440. McConnell AFB, KS plans to acquire the following items: 0001 Sartorius Balance, Pan Size: 3.1 in, Draft Shield chamber height 9.13 in, Dimensions: 8.4W x 13.5D x 13.4H in, 120V AC Adapter, RS-232 port, 3 door draft shield, weigh below hanger, motorized internal calibration, Sartorius Model No. CP225D, or equal (QTY 1). The following provisions in their latest editions apply to this solicitation: FAR 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal; FAR 52.212-1 Instructions To Offerors-Commercial Items; 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items; 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items; 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. All quotes will be evaluated on conformity to specifications, price, and past performance. Before the offer’s specified expiration time, the Government may accept an offer (or part of an offer), whether or not there are negotiations after its receipt, unless a written notice of withdrawal is received before award. Please submit with your quote a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items. The Government will award a contract to the responsible offeror whose offer is confirming to the solicitation and will be most advantageous to the Government. The FAR clauses may be viewed at http://farsite.hill.af.mil/ Contractors submitting quotes must be enrolled in the Central Contractor Registration Program (http://www.ccr.gov/). The closing date for this solicitation will be 14 August 2003, 4:00 PM Central Standard Time. Late quotes will not be accepted.
