- The Air Armament Center (AAC), Eglin AFB, FL intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price contract for the repair and service of a grinding machine. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The announcement number is FQ5CEO32040100. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 333512, with a small business standard size of 500 employees. This is a 100 % small business set-aside. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. The requirement is for THE SERVICE AND REPAIR GRINDING MACHINE 425G, S/N 40407, INCLUDE PARTS, LABOR, PICKUP, AND DELIVERY OF MACHINE: REMOVE AND REINSTALL ALL MAJOR HYDRAULIC COMPONENTS. REMOVE, DISASSEMBLE, CLEAN, AND INSPECT CONCAVE/CONVEYOR CONTRL VALVE, PUSH RAM CONTROL VALVE, RETURN MANIFOLD, AND THE CAB/GRAPPLE CONTROL VALVE. REMOVE ALL CYLINDERS FROM MACHINE. DISASSEMBLE AND REPACK ALL CYLINDERS. REASSEMBLE AND INSTALL ON MACHINE ALL HYDRAULIC LINES. REPLACE NECESSARY DAMAGED LINES/HOSES. CLEAN AND FLUSH HYDRAULIC TANK AND COMPLETE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. SERVICE AND TEST RUN MACHINE. SET ALL HYDRAULIC PRESSURES TO PROPER SPECIFICATIONS, ADJUST ENGINE RPM TO COINCIDE WITH INDUCTIVE DROOP CONTROL SYS. RAPID RAM WILL BE TESTED FOR AUTO-EXTEND-RETRACT AND CYCLE STOP OPERATION. This item is to be repaired on or before August 22, 2003.
