Description

The U.S. Geological Survey, Leetown Science Center, Fish Health Branch, has a requirement for a non-competitive award via written request for quotation No. 03ER14-No Solicitation number to The Qiagen, Inc. in Valencia, CA. for a Luminex 100 System including a LiquiChip Reader that shall include operating software version 2.2 or newer; Luminex 100 LiquiChip Micro plate Handler for automated loading and processing of samples from standard 96 well micro plates; Luminex 100 SD sheath delivery system Liquichip fluid module for processing of multiple micro plates with no refilling of system-fluid bottles; Bar Code reader for automated sample identification; Computer, and monitor; Operating Software (unlimited copies and free zipgrades) shall include operating software version 2.2 or newer; Startup Expendables including sheath fluid, and Calibration Bead Kit; Free Training at Luminex Corporation for one user and Installation shall be included. A three-year warranty with at least one preventive maintenance visit per year is required. Demonstration that the proposed Contractor's unique qualification or the nature of the acquisition requires use of the authority. The instrument system described here uses patented technology owned by and exclusively manufactured by Luminex Corporation (Austin, TX). THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The anticipated award date is 08/22/2003. Delivery is required by 09/22/2003. NAICS is 541710 and SIC is 3826. Information will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Determination to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses to this notice must be submitted via e-mail to: abenton@usgs.gov by 08/18/2003. No additional synopsis will be published.
