- Propsals are due by COB (4:30 CST) August 15, 2003. The following questions/answers are supplied to clarify the SOW included with this soliciation. Ques. 1) How many photos, on average, are published in each newsletter? Answer 1: About 10 photos per issue (including covers) although this varies somewhat from issue to issue. Ques. 2) How many graphs, bar charts or artwork, on average, are published in each newsletter? Answer 2: About six graphs of varying sizes. Ques. 3) On average, how many drafts of content and graphical changes are made before reaching a final product? Answer 3: One working draft and one final draft. Ques. 4) After being awarded the contract, will the vendor begin working on the December 2003 newsletter or the April 2004 issue? Answer 4: December 2003 newsletter. Ques. 5) Is there a standard design/layout template for each newsletter that should be followed for this contract period? If not, will the vendor be allowed to suggest design/layout alternatives? Answer 5: There is a typical or standard layout that we like, but the contractor is allowed to make recommendations. Ques. 6) Will there be any commercial print ads placed in any of the newsletters? Answer 6: No commercial print ads. Ques. 7) Who is considered the target audience of the newsletter? Answer 7: People of all walks of life and of many different backgrounds and work (general public). Ques. 8) Does the committee expect a complete graphic redesign of the magazine, or is it basically happy with the current design? Answer 8: We're happy with the current design. Ques. 9) How long does the SOW give the contractor to complete publication, 45 calendar days or work days? Answer 9: Contractor shall have 60 calendar days. Change the sentence in the Statement of Work (SOW) included in Modification No. 1 to read as follows: ?Contractor will have a minimum of 60 calendar days from receipt of information to complete publication. Publication must be received 30 calendar days prior to distribution date to allow for printing.? Ques. 10) Who supplies photography and art work? Answer 10: Government will provide.
