- Description
- The Air Armament Center (AAC), Eglin AFB, FL intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price contract for vehicle personnel and squad carriers. This acquisition is unrestricted. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The announcement number is F33TFS31950100. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 369999, with a small business standard size of 500 employees. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. The requirement is for a quantity of Two (2) - CLIN 001 Vehicle Personnel Carrier, Track Mounted, to be used as remote controlled target. Vehicles must meet the following specifications: (a) Mechanically operational/serviceable to support the addition of remote control equipment. (b) All major assemblies must be fully operational (ENG, TRANS, Transfer Case). (c) Track/Road wheels and/or tires must be serviceable with a minimum of 70% life remaining, bodies must be fully intact and present the appearance of a like-new vehicle, minor defects in paint, small dents/dings in panels will be accepted. (d) Vehicle weapons system components must be installed. Inoperative is acceptable. (e) Vehicle communication systems must be installed, inoperation is acceptable. A quantity of Two (2) - CLIN 002 Vehicle Personnel Carrier, Track Mounted, to be used as remote control target. Vehicles must meet the following specifications: (a) Mechanically operational/serviceable to support the addition of remote control equipment. (b) All major assemblies must be fully operational (ENG, TRANS, Transfer Case). (c) Track/Road wheels and/or tires must be serviceable with a minimum of 70% life remaining, bodies must be fully intact and present the appearance of a like-new vehicle, minor defects in paint, small dents/dings in panels will be accepted. Vehicles must meet the following specifications: (a) Mechanically operational/serviceable to support the addition of remote control equipment. (b) All major assemblies must be fully operational (ENG, TRANS, Transfer Case). (c) Track/Road wheels and/or tires must be serviceable with a minimum of 70% life remaining, bodies must be fully intact and present the appearance of a like-new vehicle, minor defects in paint, small dents/dings in panels will be accepted. (d) Vehicle weapons system components must be installed. Inoperative is acceptable. (e) Vehicle communications systems must be installed, inoperation is acceptable. These items are to be delivered FOB Destination to Eglin AFB, Florida not later than 1 February 04.
