Description

NA The Government intends to award a sole source, six (6) month, Firm Fixed Price contract for one (1) Ultra Lightweight Camouflage Net System (ULCANS) Prototype for the AN/TPQ-37 (Firefinder) Radar System. The contract will be issued to SAAB Barracuda LLC, Lillington, North Carolina on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. SAAB Barracuda LLC is the only source to have produced and passed First A rticle Testing (FAT) for ULCANS, and can therefore provide the prototype and documentation within the required timeframe. The contractor shall provide an ULCANS replacement Type III, Class 1 (Woodland) Type IV Class 1 (Woodland) pattern to replace the cur rent LCSS camouflage, which by Congressional mandate, is no longer procurable, and is technically inferior to ULCANS. The kit shall be comprised of all hardware, netting, and installation instructions that shall be identified in the configuration control and logistics documentation. Additionally, the contractor shall prepare and/or revise drawings and associated parts lists for both ULCANS Firefinder Woodland and Desert camouflage versions.
