Description

NA This is notice of intent to issue a Request for Proposal for which the Contractor shall furnish all planning, supervision, labor, equipment, replacement parts and supplies necessary for the operation, maintenance and repair of Government-owned facilities a nd equipment in the area of W. Kerr Scott Reservoir and Dam located in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. Work includes maintenance and repair of buildings and recreational facilities, maintenance of landscaped areas, grass mowing, janitorial and custodial servi ces and other services required to operate and maintain facilities and features at W. Kerr Scott. A cost-plus-award-fee type contract is contemplated. Contract period is one (1) base year with four (4) one year options. The North American Industry Class ifications System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 561210. Request for Proposal # DACW54-03-R-0002 should be addressed to CESAW-CT, P.O. Box 1890, Wilmington, NC 28402-1890, and/or faxed to (910) 251-4454 or (910) 251-4857, Attn: Ms. Tammy D. Lopez. Ensure that document number is annotated when submitting a request and contractor's physical address, telephone and fascimile numbers and a point of contact are provided. This proposal has an approximate issue date of 26 August 2003 with a response date of 2:00 pm Eastern Standard Time, 25 September 2003. This procurement is a Competitive 8(a) Set-Aside. Only those firms meeting the Small Business Administrtion's (SBA) criterion, and having previously been certified by the SBA as an 8(a) Contractor are eligible to compete for this procurement. It has been determined by the SBA that competition will be restricted to 8(a) firms which have a NAICS code of 561210 among their approved codes.
