Description

General: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is Q8896030055 and is issued as a Request for Quotations. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-15. This solicitation falls under NAICS Code 421310 and is subject to full and open competition. The Government is seeking quotations for the following items of actual dimension Douglas fir lumber, treated with Hi-bor: 1) rough sawn exterior (3/4 X 5 ? X 16'), surfaced butt joint T&G, finished both sides, 65 lengths each; 2) rough sawn exterior (3/4 X 14+ X 16'), 30 lengths each; 3) rough sawn exterior stock ? X 2-7/8 X 16', 50 lengths each; 4) rough sawn exterior stock 2 X 4 X 16', 50 lengths each; 5) rough sawn exterior stock 2 X 4 X 16', 50 lengths each.; 6) rough sawn exterior stock 4 X 4 X 16', 25 lengths each; 7) rough sawn exterior stock 4 X 6 X 16', 25 lengths each; 8) clear Doug Fir stock, 2 X 4 X 16', 25 lengths each; 9) clear Doug Fir stock, 2 X 6 X 16', 25 lengths each; 10) clear Doug Fir stock, 4 X 4 X 16', 25 lengths each; 11) T&G Siding - Doug Fir rough sawn ext-surfaced v-groove interior, ? X 5-1/4 X 12', 50 lengths each; 12) T&G Siding - Doug Fir/Rough sawn ext-surface v-groove w/v-groove center bead, ? X 5-1/4 X 12', 50 lengths each; 13) T&G Siding - Doug Fir/Surfaced double sided v-groove w/v-groove center bead, ? X 5-1/4 X 10', 50 lengths each. Contractor shall provide a unit price and extended price for each of the thirteen items described above. Delivery of this lumber FOB Destination to Honolulu, Hawaii, Young Brothers Pier 39, no later than September 25, 2003. Quote may be on company letterhead stationary and should reference the solicitation number. Include a statement regarding delivery time with your quotation. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. FAR clause 52.212-2, Evaluation -Commercial Items applies to this solicitation. FAR Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The following FAR clauses listed in that clause are applicable: 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-1, 52.225-3, 52.232-34, 52.222-41, 52.222-42. Additional clauses include 52.247-21, 52.247-22 and 52.247-34. A completed copy of the FAR provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, must be included with the quotation. The Government will evaluate the quotations based on delivery date and price.
