<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"> <META content="MSHTML 5.50.4915.500" name=GENERATOR></HEAD> <BODY> Electronic Records Archives (ERA) sponsored</P> NARA Business Seminar </P> August 27, 2003 </P> </P> The Electronic Records Archives (ERA) program of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) is hosting a NARA Business Seminar on August 27, 2003. The purpose of the seminar is to provide further context to potential Prime System Integrator (PSI) proposers about the business functions of NARA.</P> The day-long seminar will consist of sessions by representatives of various divisions within NARA on topics such as Scheduling and Appraisal of Textual and Electronic Records, FOIA, Presidential Libraries, and Federal Records Centers. The presentations are designed to illuminate more fully the tasks necessary to fulfill NARA's mission to ensure ready access to essential evidence that documents the rights of citizens, the actions of Federal officials, and the national experience. </P> The seminar will run from 8:15am to 4pm, with seminar sign-in beginning at 8:00am. An optional tour of the Archives II facility will take place from 4:00pm to 5:00pm immediately following the seminar. </P> The NARA Business Seminar precedes the <A href="http://www.archives.gov/electronic_records_archives/presentations/vendor_day/index.html">ERA Vendor Day</A> scheduled for August 28th, 2003, also at the College Park facility. The purpose of Vendor Day is to present information about ERA and address questions from attendees via an open panel discussion about the Draft RFP.</P> NARA invites industry Prime System Integrators (PSIs), that have achieved at least Software CMM Level III Maturity or intend to by December 2003 that are intending to submit a proposal in response to the ERA RFP NAMA-03-R-0018, to attend the NARA Business Seminar. If your organization would like to attend, please let us know by responding to <A href="mailto:ERA.Acquisition%20@nara.gov">mailto:ERA.Acquisition%20@nara.gov</A>. </P> Representatives are limited to four people per organization.
