It consists of two Allis Chalmers Types FC-500A1 air circuit breakers in a metal enclosed switchgear buildings. The four 13.2 KV distribution circuits, served from the City Public Service (CPS) Randolph Field Substation located off base across FM Hwy 78, provide the sources for the main switching station. New circuit breakers, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems (SCADA), and fire protection will be installed as part of the new main switching stations. New 15KV circuit breakers will be vacuum types with electrical fault interrupting capabilities.
