Description
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Veterinary Services (VS), Exotic Newcastle Disease (END) Program has a requirement for up to 48 used extended cab pickup trucks currently obtained via a commercial lease contract. The solicitation will be issued under brand name or equal specifications. Award will be made to the responsive and responsible firm offering the best value to the Government. Award consideration will be based on vendor proximity and vehicle specifications including the overall condition of vehicles, maintenance/repair history, tire conditions, etc. A mandatory test drive and maintenance inspection will be performed on all trucks considered during the evaluation process. Test drives and maintenance inspections may be required for those offeror's who are considered in the competitive range. Contractor shall be responsible for delivery of the light trucks to APHIS office located in Garden Grove, California. The vehicles will be used to support the Exotic Newcastle Disease eradication and control program in Southern California. The light trucks will be used to transport APHIS personnel to and from backyard and commercial poultry sites throughout the area. This effort is advertised under full and open competition under NAICS 421110. All proposals shall have the solicitation number placed on the front of the proposal envelope.
