Description

THIS NOTICE IS TO EXTEND THE DUE DATE OF PROPOSALS FROM 12:00 PM, AUGUST 15, 2003 TO 9:00 AM, FRIDAY, AUGUST 29, 2003. The United States Department of Commerce/NOAA intends to issue a competitive solicitation in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, for the acquisition of support services for the Passaic Flood Warning System (PFWS) and Integrated Flood Observing and Warning System (IFLOWS) operational networks. This contract will generally provide the following: Communications Systems Support in providing 24 hours, 7 days a week support of ensuring that radio telemetered gage information from IFLOWS, PFWS, and Automated Local Evaluation in Real Time (ALERT) systems are received and relayed correctly by National Weather Service (NWS) operational field offices; Passaic Flood Warning System Support in providing around the clock field maintenance, software support, gage maintenance and general customer support at operational sites in New Jersey and New York; and Documentation and Radio Frequency Management support which provides technical assistance to assist cooperators with radio frequency licensing, site documentation, and site maintenance procedures. Site locations, server configurations, Passaic processes and systems, and compilation of equipment can be viewed by uploading the attachments under this notice. The period of the contract is anticipated to be sixty (60) months. A Firm Fixed Priced contract is contemplated. All requests for this solicitation must be in writing.
