- NA The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) to award a firm-fixed price contract for the Green Brook Flood Control Project, Segment U, Borough of Bound Brook, NJ for construction of the Segment U Levee/ Floodwall from Route 28, proceeding north across the Shoprite Shopping Plaza to route 22. This procurement shall be UNRESTRICTED. The estimated construction value of the project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The completion period is approxim ately 210 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990 with a size standard of $28,500,000.00. Plans and Specification will be available on or about 25 August 2003. Bid Openin g date is on 24 September 2003 at 1:30 P.M. Bid opening will be held in Room 1841 of 26 Federal Plaza, New York, NY 10278. The media selected for the issuance of the Solicitation and Amendments shall solely be at the discretion of the Government; according ly, the media utilized for this project shall be the Internet and CD-ROM. Paper copies of this Solicitation, and Amendments, if any, will not be available or issued. Interested parties may download and print the Solicitation at no charge at http://www.nan. usace.army.mil (Contracting Opportunities). Project specification files and drawings are portable document files (PDF) and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat reader. Minimum system requirements are 486-based personal computer, Microso ft Windows 3.1 or greater, 8mb application RAM. A registration page is attached to the website and prospective bidders are required to register and to receive notice of any amendments and/or addenda that may be issued to this solicitation. Utilization of t he Internet is the preferred method, however, CDs will be available upon written request stating the Solicitation Number, or Project Name, complete company name and street address. We will not deliver to P.O. Boxes. Make check or money order payable in the amount of $10.00 to FAO, USAED, NY. Requirements: DFARS 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration (CCR) applies to this procurement. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Department of Defense (CCR) database prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
