Description

The Acquisition Management Department, National Naval Medical Center on behalf of the Complex Testing, Laboratory Service Department intends to award a sole-sourced standing order to Bio-RAd Laboratories Inc. 4000 Alfred Nobel Drive Hercules, CA 94547-1803 for their Variant Hemoglobin Testing System. Bio-Rad Laboratories' testing system is capable of performing hemoglobin electrophoresis by the HPLC method. Award will be made in the form of a SF1449 commercial purchase order for a base year period beginning 1 October 2003 through 30 September 2004 with two (2) option years to include the use of one (1) 270-0001RM Variant Hemoglobin testing system and one (1) 196-7393RM Autodiluter for sample preparation. A copy of the solicitation may be viewed at www.neco.navy.mil. This acquisition is being conducted under the guidelines as set forth in the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Award will be contingent upon availability of FY04 funding. See Note 22.
