Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the solicitation only; proposals are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-14, Defense Acquisition Circular (DAC) 91-13 and Air Force Acquisition Circular (AFAC) 2003-0501, and can be obtained at http://farsite.hill.af.mil/. QUOTES MUST BE GOOD TILL 29-Aug-2003 The BID SCHEDULE shall be for Line Item 0001: Purchase of the Mu-Meter Mk6 Runway Condition Reading System. System will provide state of the art immediate braking action results to the control tower that be relayed to an aircraft in flight within minutes with flawless accuracy. This system is able to draw data from any surface conditions affecting friction characteristics (rain, snow and rubber deposit) on the runway or any pavement surfaces (ramp, apron, and taxiways). Mu-Meter Mk6 CFME system complete to United States Air Force specification comprising: Mu-Meter Mk6 CFME system trailer unit; Military specification puncture proofed tires; “Ruggedized” laptop computer; Re-chargeable color printer; Mu-Meter Mk6 Calibration surface testing board; Fitted with a Standard US 2” tow ball socket; Fully integrated software providing USAF RCR reporting; USB Data key transfer technology; Mu-Meter Cellular data downlink for immediate real time date presentation to remote PC.
