Description

The solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about August 13, 2003. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICIATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE REQUEST OF FAX REQUESTS FOR THIS SOLICIATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Description: 100% Set-aside for Small Business. Visitor Center Addition, Central High School National Historic Site, Little Rock, Arkansas. Solicitation Number Q7300030028. The National Park Service requires a firm, fixed price construction contract to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and expertise neccessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of the above named project. Work includes, but is not limited to: construction of a new concrete slab floor, and associated footing and foundation. Placement of a concrete porch slab. Erection of an new wall with windows and doors to match the designs of the existing employee entrance directly at the opposite side of the building. Construction of parapet walls. Removal of an existing roof and construction of a new roof of different pitch. Roof will include scuppers and downspouts with collector heads. Installation of floor tile, and a conventional suspended ceiling to match existing styles. Installation of all electrical, lighting and mechnical (HVAC) systems to provide outlets, lights and climate control to the room. Finisl work including painting and csulking both interior and exterior. The NAICS code for this project is 236220 and the small business size is $28.5 million. Contract Duration is 30 days following the Notice to Proceed. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the price range for this contract is between $25,000 and $50,000. This procurment is an Request of Quote (RFQ) and is subject to the provisions of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). This procurment is offered as 100%Set-aside fo Small Business and the National Park Service encourages the particilation of disadvantage and women-owned business enterprises. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested parties with the time and date to be announced in the solicitation, Section L. clause 52.3236-27 /alt 1, Site Visit (Construction). Responses will be due approximately 30 days following issurance of the solicitation. Search by referencing the solicitation number (above), Department of the Interior, National Park Service.
