- Description
- The Coast Guard(CG) RFQ DTCG23-03-Q-OPD04 for Handheld Spectrometers has been revised as follows. Paragraph 2.7 Power Supply is replaced with the following, 2.7 Battery/ Power Supply: 2.7.1 Battery(non-rechargeable or rechargeable), If replaceable batteries are used, they must be commercially available and be easily replaced in the field without special equipment or tools, 2.7.2 The instrument must be capable of operating from standard battery types, i.e.: AA, 9-Volt, etc., 2.7.3 For rechargeable batteries, vendor must include a battery charger, 2.7.4 Instruments must be equipped with a test circuit or other visible direct indicator of battery condition for each battery circuit, 2.7.5 The low-battery indication must be no lower than the minimum voltage required for proper operation. This is the point where there is a <10% change in indicated dose rate (compared to the response with a fully-charged batteries) and/or when the instrument is unable to perform a radionuclide identification. Offerors should clearly indicate the expected continuous operating time using the recommended batteries as well as the conditions (functional and environmental) used to determine this time. Quotes are due no later than 2:00 p.m. on August 15, 2003 in Room 5222 at the address listed above.
