- Description
- The Western Area Power Administration, Sierra-Nevada Regional Office (SNR) intends to purchase on Sole Source basis PI interface software for the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. This software is written and hosted for use on the SCADA system and is Western?s existing architecture. The PI software is available from Survalent Technology, 2600 Argentia Rd., Mississauga, Ontario, CN (905) 826-5000. This interface software runs on the SCADA system to allow the PI server data historian to connect and collect SCADA data. The SCADA is a data collection and control system. The PI server is a data archival system. This sole source requirement is being processed under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 which allows for other than full and open competition. SNR believes Survalent Technology is the only known source that has the ability to provide the required software. Anticipated award date is August 20, 2003. This notice is not a request for proposals or quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirements by emailing Sharon Bates at sbates@wapa.gov or by fax at (916) 985-1933 NLT 20 August 2003. Capability statements must include documentation proving ability to satisfy the Government's requirements. Any information received will be considered for the purpose of conducting a competitive procurement.
