Description
The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of the Secretary of Transportation (OST) plans to issue a Request for Quote to provide customized training in fraud proficiency skills for the Office of Inspector General (OIG). Sources will provide training programs for the following four courses: (1) Auditing for Internal Fraud (2) Financial Statement Fraud (3) Fraud and Government Auditing Standards and (4) Contract and Procurement Fraud. Each course will be for (1) one, two (2) day session. The grade level of the attendees may range from GS-15 Program Directors and below. The number of students per class will not exceed 25. In addition to providing training for the courses listed above, the contractor shall have the skills and experience to operate the equipment, and deliver training by the use of video conferencing. Sources interested in this requirement should provide a description of the same or similar courses taught within the last year, an outline of the objectives for said course, and past performance information. At a minimum the past performance information provided shall include, the contract number, dollar value, the customer, the name and telephone number of the customer?s point of contact (POC) and, if available, an email address for the POC. All relevant experience and past performance must have occurred within the last year. The submission shall be no more than a 2 pages in length for each course. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only, this is not a notice of a solicitation, and does not constitute a Government agreement to contract. The Government does not intend to pay for information furnished in response hereto. Responses must be electronically submitted no later 12 Noon on August 22, 2003 to sherrill.king@ost.dot.gov. If an award results from this sources sought, the DOT intends to award a firm-fixed-priced contract by September 12, 2003 with a base year (commencing October 1, 2003) with two (2) one-year option periods anticipated. Interested sources must submit its firms name, address, phone number, contact name, business entity (i.e., large business, small business, 8A, Hubzone, etc).
