- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound has a requirement for the Naval Intermediate Maintenance Facility (IMF), Pacific Northwest for a brand name or equal SHADOW 2-6 CNC Shape Cutting Machine. This Shape Cutting Machine is needed to cut and form various types and sizes of metal shapes used in the manufacture and repair of shipboard systems. This equipment shall meet all the Military, Federal, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), National Electrical Code (NEC), Underwriters' Laboratories, Inc. (UL), Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA), and all applicable standards/specifications in effect on the date of the RFQ. Contractor to provide equipment, installation, and training. This will be evaluated on a Low Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) basis . The procedures of FAR PART 12, Commercial Acquisition will be utilized. The applicable North American Industrial classification System (NIACS) code is 333512. The FSC code is 3695. The Government foresees a firm fixed price supply type contract. This is single award and a total setaside for small business. Required Delivery Date is 90 days after contract award. Material will be shipped to FOB:Destination Receiving Officer, NAVIMFAC PACNORWEST, Detachment Everett, Washington State. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link, www.neco.navy.mil. It is anticipated that the RFQ, will be issued on or about 22 August 2003, with offers due on or about 05 September 2003. All offerors wishing to submit an offer, are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website (WinZIP or other unzipping software is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFQ. Interested parties may utilize www.fedbizopps.gov and request an E-mail notification by clicking on the FedBizOpps Vendor tab then Acquisition Notification service then "register to receive notification by solicitation number." By registering with this service, you should receive notification as to when the solicitation has been uploaded to the NECO website. PLEASE NOTE: FISC PUGET SOUND DOES NOT GUARANTEE THIS NOTICE. OFFERORS ARE STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR DOWNLOADING THEIR OWN COPY OF THE SOLICITATION ON THE NECO WEBSITE. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to janet_c_brunson@puget.fisc.navy.mil will be accepted only in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ and/or amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitations or quotes and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals or quotes may render your proposal or quote nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
